About the Artist:
Rodney’s interest in art dates back to his early childhood. He would draw and create characters from television and comic books. Rodney continued in the arts from his youth into adulthood. He attended North Carolina Central University where he majored in Studio Art with a concentration in painting. As an undergraduate student, Rodney was exposed to a full range of art history and art-related courses - this reinforced his knowledge and interest in becoming a well-rounded artist.
Since that time Rodney has taught art to youth in the public, private and home school arenas. Rodney is a brilliant artist and well versed in a wide variety of mediums and disciplines including and not limited to: portraiture, comic book illustration, painting, drawing and sculpture. To this day he enjoys time painting and sculpting, teaching art classes for youths and adults, creating comic books and freelance opportunities.
